Courts.ie - Judicial Guidelines on Expert Reports in Family Law Proceedings

The Department of Justice, Home Affairs and Migration published a Review of the Role of Expert Reports in the Family Law Process in June 2024. This Review examined ‘welfare’ reports and ‘voice of the child’ reports in the context of private family law litigation. One of the recommendations in this Review relating to welfare reports was that Guidelines be prepared to assist all involved in the commission, preparation, content and usage of such reports. These Guidelines are an attempt to fulfil this recommendation.
