Appointments
Attendance to the Central Office is by appointment.
Appointments can be made online or by calling 353 1 888 6016.
If you have an urgent appointment, please email [email protected].
Alternatively, you may use our Walk-Up Kiosk Service by registering your name on the kiosk in the Waiting Area. This service is available between 10am and 4pm.
Please note: The above applies only to appointments at the Public Counters. It does not apply to appointments for the Judgments and Deed Poll Sections. Please email to make appointments for these sections.
If you need to change or cancel your appointment, please do so as soon as possible to free the slot for others. You can cancel or reschedule using the link in your email confirmation.
Applications to the High Court can be placed in the black drop box outside of the office or sent by post to:

Hours of business
Regulated by Order 118 of the Rules of the Superior Courts:
- Monday to Friday: 10.00 – 16.30
- Christmas Eve: 10.00 – 13.00
- Closed: Saturdays, Sundays, Christmas Day and the next 7 days, St. Patrick's Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday and Tuesday, and public holidays.

About the Central Office of the High Court
You can commence your case or file documents in person or by post.
Stamp Duty must be obtained in the Stamp Office at Áras Uí Dhálaigh before arrival.
Note: The Central Office no longer accepts letters of authority allowing third parties to file or collect documents.
Litigants must provide proof of identity when requested.

Contacting High Court Judges
Judges do not correspond with parties outside of court. Issues must be raised in open court by the legal representative or self-represented party.
Urgent matters on non-sitting days
During vacations, weekends and public holidays, urgent applications should be directed to the Duty Registrar via the Four Courts at (01) 888 6000. The Duty Registrar will liaise with a Judge if appropriate.
