Licensing
Licensing is where you apply to court to be granted legal permission for activities that require licences. It also sets out the terms and conditions that must be followed.
Licensing in the courts refers to a number of applications for various activities associated with the regulation of the sale and consumption of alcohol. Applications for licences or certificates for clubs (sports and social), restaurants, and promotion of certain types of entertainment (music and singing, gaming, lotteries, bingo) also take place in the courts.
The best way to submit licensing applications is through Courts Service Online (CSOL). Information on this is available on our eLicensing page below.
