Listeners can look forward to 5 new episodes in Series 3, releasing every fortnight from Monday 12 October 2026. With thoughtful insights, and discussions this series explores some of the most fascinating legal issues in contemporary Irish history and society.

Talking about Series 3 The Hon. Mr. Cian Ferriter of the High Court and member of the Irish Courts Podcast editorial team said

“We wanted to ensure that Series 3 would build on the quality and success of the episodes in Series 1 and 2 which have had over 15,000 downloads to date. In this new series, listeners will be able to enjoy thought-provoking and fascinating episodes covering topics ranging from miscarriages of justice and citizenship law, to sport, special education rights and the tort of criminal conversation where women were treated as the property of men”.

The opening episode, “Miscarriages of Justice: Martin Conmey and the Lynskey case”, examines one of Ireland's most significant wrongful conviction cases and the decades-long fight to clear a man's name.

Series 3 promises to be another fascinating exploration of landmark cases the people who brought them and the lasting impact they have had on Irish society.
