What you need
- Your juror number and PIN (both are printed on the top-right of your jury summons letter — see example below).
- Your contact details (for example, phone number or email).
- Any supporting documents if you are asking for an excusal or deferral (for example, a medical certificate).
Juror number: 00000XX 0001
PIN: 000001
Your juror number and PIN are shown in the top-right corner of your jury summons.
Important before you continue
- You will be redirected to the official Jury Service Portal at jury.courts.ie. This is the only online system used by the Courts Service for responding to jury summons.
- The portal will open in a new tab so you can easily return to courts.ie.
- The Courts Service will never ask for PPS numbers, bank details or payment in relation to jury service.
- If you receive emails, texts or calls asking for money, personal information, or threatening arrest for not attending jury service, these are scams. See An Garda Síochána’s fraud advice for more information.
- You can also report suspicious emails to [email protected] and scam texts/calls by forwarding them to 7726 (free).
Reminder: A genuine jury summons is always sent by post and looks like the example above. If you receive a message that does not match this, it may be a scam.
