Mr Justice Charleton delivers webinar to UCD School of Medicine

On 30 May, Mr Justice Charleton delivered a webinar to the School of Medicine at University College Dublin.  The webinar, entitled “Defence of Mentally Ill Persons In Criminal Cases”, was delivered as part of a weekly webinar series hosted by UCD Academic Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, a speciality unit of the medical school. 

Mr Justice Charleton’s lecture focused on the practicalities of invoking the insanity defence in homicide cases from the perspective of a legal advocate and advisor.
