The Courts Service is delighted to participate in Cork Heritage Open Day on Saturday, 16 August 2025, by opening the historic Anglesea Street Courthouse to members of the public.
Visitors will have the opportunity to join guided tours of the courthouse at 11:00am and 12:00pm. These tours will provide an insight into the history, architecture and role of the courthouse within the justice system and the wider community.
Anglesea Street Courthouse has been a prominent civic building in Cork city for many years and continues to play an important role in the administration of justice. During the tour, visitors will learn about the building's heritage, discover areas not normally accessible to the public, and hear about the work of the courts today.
Cork Heritage Open Day is an annual event that celebrates the rich built, cultural and historical heritage of Cork city. It provides a unique opportunity to explore some of the city's most significant buildings and landmarks.
Admission is free; however, places on the tours may be limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
