We were delighted to once again attend the National Ploughing Championships in Ratheniska, Co. Laois, one of Ireland’s largest and most popular annual events. With an attendance of approximately 250,000 visitors over the three days, the Championships provided an excellent opportunity for us to engage directly with people from across the country and to raise awareness of the services provided by the courts.
Our stand welcomed a steady stream of visitors, allowing us to answer questions, share information and discuss a wide range of court-related topics with members of the public. It was particularly valuable to meet people face to face and to help improve understanding of the role of the courts and the services available to court users.
Among the most frequently discussed topics were Probate, Family Law, Jury Service, and career opportunities for graduates interested in working within the Courts Service. Visitors were keen to learn more about court processes, the responsibilities of jurors, and the range of professional and administrative roles available across the organisation.
We would like to thank everyone who took the time to visit our stand and speak with our staff. Events such as the National Ploughing Championships provide an important opportunity to connect with communities, answer questions and promote greater public understanding of the Irish courts system.
