The 2024 Legal Year was formally opened by Chief Justice Donal O'Donnell at a ceremony held in the historic Round Hall of the Four Courts, one of Ireland’s most iconic public buildings and the ceremonial heart of the Irish courts system.
The opening of the Legal Year is a significant occasion in the judicial calendar, bringing together members of the judiciary, the legal profession, public representatives and invited guests to mark the commencement of the court year.
