What happens when a hearing ends
When your hearing is finished, the judge or registrar will tell you when you can leave the courtroom.
After the hearing, the following things will happen:
- The judge will consider all the facts of your case and make a decision. This decision is called an order or a judgment.
- A written copy of the order or judgment will be sent to you by post after the hearing.
- If you are not happy with the order or judgment, you may be able to appeal to a higher court. There are time limits for appeals so you may wish to get legal advice from your solicitor. Alternatively, you can speak to a Court Services staff member
about this.
